A Vera Cummings portrait has been bid on in a UK auction by a kiwi bidder, and is reportedly coming back to NZ soon.
The work sold for $3,790 NZ (1,800 pounds) which is a great price for a work by the Thames born portrait artist who was a student of Goldie.
The highest price for a painting by her is $37,600, sold at International Art Centre in 2020.
Not all works are on-sold once repatriated, someone may have a new work to add to their personal collection.
