You may have heard or seen this emotive clip late last year from The Antiques Roadshow (UK) of an appraisal of a Hei Tiki dug up in a garden in England. I was reading an article yesterday about an archaeological dig under London's Liverpool Street Station and it was hard to miss this:
This stone Patu was found in the rubble of a construction site at Old Kent Road. It is now in the Museum of London's Collection. How did these taonga end up in the earth half a world away? Read the article by National Geographic here.
